What happens when you mix a crazy drummer/producer with a Swedish accent and an unhealthy obsession with pop punk?

Apparently, Sorry In Advance.

Hampus and Boomer started the Swedish-Canadian pop punk band in Vancouver with one pretty simple idea: make the music they actually wanted to hear.

Both write. Both bring the hooks. Both bring the melodies. And once an idea gets going, neither seems particularly interested in slowing down.

Hampus brings the Swedish accent, guitars, and vocals. Boomer brings the drums and production. Somewhere between the two of them, songs have a habit of getting written very quickly.

Born out of heartbreak, major life changes, and probably a few bad decisions, Sorry In Advance came together fast.

Songs became demos. Demos became records. A few songs became an album.

Then Devo showed up.

At first, he came in on bass. Then he kept showing up. Rehearsals, recordings, ideas, shoots. Somewhere along the way it stopped feeling like Hampus and Boomer had a bass player.

It felt like a band.

So now there are three.

Hampus. Boomer. Devo.

We keep everything in-house.

We write the songs. We demo them. We record and produce them. We shoot the photos and videos. We create the artwork, branding and visual communication. We handle the marketing, content, websites and everything else that comes with building a band.

From the first voice memo to the song you hear, the photo you see, or the post that brought you here - it came from us.

The music is recorded at Glory Wreck Chords, our own studio and label.

The first song completed for the project was “3:23 AM.” It became our debut single and set everything in motion.

When we heard those first songs coming back through the studio monitors, there was really only one appropriate response:

“This is it.”
