Eleven: A Punk Rock Time Capsule

Recorded in 2012. Released in 2026. Still making noise.

Some songs take a little longer to see the light of day. In this case, about 14 years.

Originally recorded in 2012, Eleven is a track by Guts And Glory, featuring Tony Toddler, Kurt Krza, Devo State, and Boomer Glory.

The concept? A song about a girl who's an 11 out of 10. Nothing complicated. Just good old-fashioned punk rock.

Fast-forward to 2026, and the track has finally made its way onto streaming platforms.

The release was partly about claiming the band's name on Spotify, but it also brought a little piece of punk rock history back into circulation.

And apparently, there's plenty more where that came from.

Fourteen Years of Noise

Old recordings have a way of capturing something that can't always be recreated. The energy, the imperfections, and the attitude of a band making music for the sake of making music.

Eleven is one of several tracks from that era still sitting in the archives. Some might stay there. Others could eventually find their way onto streaming platforms.

For Boomer, it's another chapter in a musical journey that continues today at Glory Wreck Chords Studio.

Behind the Desk

A lot has changed since 2012, including the tools available for recording, mixing, and mastering.

But a good production doesn't necessarily require a massive collection of plugins. Knowing your tools matters more than having hundreds of them.

Here are a few currently in Boomer's studio arsenal:

A relatively simple selection of tools, each serving its purpose.

The Story Continues

Today, Boomer continues writing, recording, mixing, and producing music through Glory Wreck Chords Studio, including his work with Sorry in Advance.

And while Eleven might have taken 14 years to reach streaming platforms, it serves as a reminder that old music doesn't necessarily have an expiration date.

There are more songs in the archives, more music being made, and plenty of noise still to come.
