Sorry in Advance Gets Some Love From the Georgia Straight
We made the newspaper! The Georgia Straight gave our latest single, "Uh Oh," some love, comparing our sound to New Found Glory and Sum 41. Pretty cool to see our music getting some recognition in Vancouver!

Well, would you look at that. We made the newspaper.
Our latest single, "Uh Oh," has been featured in the Georgia Straight, Vancouver's long-running arts and culture publication.
The November 5-7, 2026 issue includes us in its Van Jams section, under the headline "Dan Mangan Waves Goodbye to the U.S.A."
We're sharing the page with Dan Mangan, Bif Naked, and a bunch of other local musicians. Not bad company.
Apparently, We're Still Living in the Early 2000s
Writer V.S. Wells compared our sound to New Found Glory and Sum 41, which is pretty fucking cool considering they're two of the many bands we grew up listening to.
The review describes "Uh Oh" as a song about the nerves of falling for someone, and gives us this little compliment:
"It's got all the fist-in-the-air, caught-in-your-teeth hooks"
We'll happily take that.
Wells also described Devo, Boomer, and our Scandi singer Hampus as having "daftly mononymous names."
We're not entirely sure whether that's a compliment, but we're choosing to believe it is.

Vancouver's Punk Scene Is Alive and Kicking
The Georgia Straight has been giving Vancouver's punk scene some attention lately, including its coverage of local punk band PISS.
While PISS and Sorry in Advance approach punk from different directions, we share the same city and a love for making loud music.
It's pretty cool seeing bands like PISS getting attention, alongside pop-punk bands like ours.
There's room for all of it.
What's Next for Sorry in Advance?
We're currently wrapping up our debut album, scheduled for release in 2027.
In the meantime, "Uh Oh" is out everywhere, and we have a lot more coming.
Big thanks to V.S. Wells and the Georgia Straight for including us.
Our mothers are going to be so proud.
