The story behind UH OH

A photoshoot, an all-day date, and the moment that became UH OH by Sorry In Advance.

It started with a photoshoot.

The story already shared on our UH OH song page begins with a photoshoot. A session that would usually last about an hour turned into three hours of hanging out, including some extra, artsy photographs of her hands.

Something about that day stayed with him: the photoshoot had become the beginning of a story.

An hour became a whole day.

A few weeks later, they went on a date. What started as a plan to spend an hour at an art gallery became an entire day together: a long walk, conversations about everything, and that growing feeling that this might be something.

Uh oh. I think I’m falling for this person.

That feeling became the song.

UH OH is about that moment before you know where something is going. You’re nervous, excited, wondering whether the other person feels the same way, and wanting to find out.

It is one of the stories behind Sorry In Advance, a Canadian pop-punk band from Vancouver. For the original first-person account and listening links, visit the UH OH song page.
